Abstract

|
The purpose of this study was to analyze the contents of home care nursing service for the elderly of a community. Data were collected from September 2004 to August 2005 in B district of Gyunggi Province. Home care nursing services for the 55 persons above 60years were analyzed by frequency and percentage with SPSS program. The contents of home care nursing service in 7 fields were in the following order: basic nursing(37.63%), curing care(26.40%), counseling(22.39%), examination(7.4%), medication(3.1%), education(2.51%) and refer service(0.41%). The frequency of home care nursing service of indivisual by type was as follows. In type2 with chronic disease, basic nursing ;9.41 , type3 with chronic disease and mild disorder, basic nursing ;25.4 and counseling ; 20.1, type4 with bed-ridden chronic disease, curing care 52.4 basic nursing ;44.4, type5 with completely dependent and serious disorder, basic nursing ;27.9. In Conclusion home care nursing service for the elderly is needed to distinguish the system for chronis illness and hospice.
